Former Crown Point Bulldog and current Cleveland Indians pitcher Zach Plesac could be earning some MLB hardware. Plesac has been named one of the three finalists for the Gold Glove award for pitchers, along with Minnesota’s Kenta Maeda and Griffin Canning of the Angels.
Plesac had a perfect 100% fielding percentage during the 2020 season, with five putouts and eight assists. He was just as good on the mound for the Tribe, posting a 2.28 ERA over the course of eight starts.
The Gold Glove Award winners will be announced on November 3 on ESPN.
